Then and Now!

Wrap up

There is no better time of year in Phoenix than in the spring. The weather is perfect and it goes without saying that our 25th Anniversary Home tour only added to the best time of year! This year's home tour included closing down Sheridan Street for the biggest street fair to date. Heck, it's our anniversary, why not celebrate! With fantastic food trucks, guerilla yoga, d.j.'s, musical entertainment of all genres, dancers, and classic automobiles the event did not disappoint! A huge thanks goes out to the homeowners who shared their houses (and business) and all the hard work that went into restoring these beautiful homes. Sara &Casey, Ryan M., Michael & Connie, Peter & Katie, Randy, Mark & Caren, Goody, Ryan R., Kathy, Phelan & Art. You truly make our neighborhood proud!

And what would the tour have been like without our amazing volunteers? Thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time and dedication to support Coronado. We had an almost all new crew of volunteers and it still flowed pretty smoothly, thankfully. Thanks to Mike Pearce, for motivation, creative vision, brochure creation and hosted the post-tour party (but who's kidding who, it was an all day party at Mike's since he also opened his home for the tour!). Thanks to Chris Baker, for being such a go-getter. Chris organized volunteers for the street clean up and the tour and street set up/rentals. Thank you to Bert Legg, who had too many roles to mention! Collecting sponsors, clean up, Music/dance acts, acquired a street sweep, editing brochure, getting 12 News to come out the day before the tour! Kudos to Norina Arvizu-Koch who coordinated all the vendors and hosted pre-tour dinner and day of tour lunches at her house. Holla! Thank you to Mary Muesegades for setting up the street cleanup event and contacting Mayor Stanton and Councilman Nowakowski to write the forwards for our brochure. Thank you to Mary Henningsen & Kelly Kay for organizing the classic car show. Thank you to June Meitz & Bob Meitz for your knowledge, experience, guidance and accounting skills. Keith Zollman, thank you for drawing up the street map and making everything easier to organize. Lola Chevelle, Thank you for contacting all our Sponsors. Brian &' Kristi Church, Thank you for taking all the amazing photographs and for being such a cute couple! Nola Wecker, Thank you for writing the Pre tour dispatch article. Donna Reiner, Thank you for your historical knowledge of our neighborhood! Tiffany Miller, Carol Simmons, Maria Sims, Stacy Castleton, Mariah Silk, Richard Morquecho & Hugo Polanco, Thank you for your contributions and showing up when we needed you! Can't wait to see you again for next year's tour on Sunday March 3rd.

Thank you to our Generous Tour Sponsors who not only advertised in our booklet but donated gifts, time, or entertainment
